Christmas is fast approaching and given that I am currently surrounded by endless carols, gifts and general holiday cheer, it’s only fair that I share some of this Christmas spirit with all of you.
Here’s my Partner-of-a-Gamer’s take on an old school Christmas poem, just for you :)

Twas the night before Christmas, in The Gamer’s house, A computer was whirring by the clicks of a mouse, A lone face was lit by the monitor’s glare, Aware that the sunlight soon would be there. The Girlfriend was nestled all snug in her bed, While repetitive K-Pop still cycled her head. With headphones in ears and a Dell still in lap, She'd still been blogging but fell to a nap.
When out in the study there arose such a clatter, She sprang from her bed to see what was the matter. Away to the noise, she flew like a flash, Wondering what the bejesus may have caused such a crash. Hunched over the computer was a shadowy figure, Could this be St Nick? She thought he’d be bigger. Suddenly she realised “That’s not Santa Claus”, “It is but my partner who has gamed with no pause.”
The Gamer was suffering a string of defeat Yet refused to retire til he had them all beat Then once again, just as loud as before The frustrated gamer let out the same roar: “With Lee Sin, with Janna, Soraka and Lulu! And Taric and Teemo and freakin’ Amumu From top lane, to jungle, then bot and support Our poor little Nexus just always gets caught!”
Though his frustrated ramblings were somewhat delirious, She felt some relief that it wasn't more serious. The Girlfriend, she’d seen nights like this before, So just gave a nod and said nothing more. Like the cookies and milk one lays out for Santa, She presented some pizza and a glass full of Fanta. With a kiss on the forehead and a squeeze of the hand, The Girlfriend returned to the peaceful Dreamland.
The more his team played, the more they conceded, A small Christmas Miracle is just what they needed. But similar to Rudolph leading the sleigh, The Gamer took charge and helped guide the way. He screamed through the headset: “GO IN FOR THE GANK!" Thankful that this game he’d gone with a tank Then silence. The brave team survived the fight. “And that’s the GG, to all a good night”
I’d also like to take this chance to thank you guys for all your lovely support of my blog this year – you sure know how to make a girl feel special.
Have a happy and safe holiday, all. I’ll catch you guys next year.
(The Boy and I are headed overseas this afternoon! YAYYY!!)
Much love to all :)

Fun to read, as always Vicki. You have yourself a great holiday as well!
